Sheboygan Budget Friendly Weddings
A nice wedding doesn't have to cost you and arm and a leg... if you are willing to consider moving it to a day other than Saturday. A new trend taking place today are weekday weddings. There are several factors for this trend. Considerations such as availability of church and reception halls during prime times and available discounts for non-peak hours are becoming cost-saving measures. Quite often businesses that cater to a bride and groom  will offer discounts on products and services when demand is low. These savings can add up fast. Everything from photography and catering to the reception hall and entertainment. Don't be afraid to negotiate a deal. Most wedding vendors would rather offer a discount than pass up an opportunity for new business, especially during a non-peak day.

Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin = Great Event

If you are about to become engaged or have already made the commitment your first priority should be to set a date and book a church followed immediately by locking down your reception facility. In eastern Wisconsin we are fortunate to have numerous first class resorts and banquet halls in which to host an event. From the American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin to the Blue Harbor Resort located on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan in Sheboygan, Wisconsin these facilities and their event coordinators will make your big day one to remember.

One of my favorite resorts is the Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, located approximately 25 minutes from Sheboygan. The Osthoff oozes elegance and class. An added benefit to hosting your wedding reception at the Osthoff, outside of the outstanding personal service, special resort amenities and wonderful food, are the picturesque views of the lake and spectacular gardens - perfect settings for memorable photos.

Whether you're planning a reunion, anniversary or any special celebration, the Osthoff can plan your event. Their professional staff will work with you to coordinate every detail including menu selections, custom packaging, transportation, floral arrangements, entertainment, amenities, group activities, spa services, room reservations, tee times, recreation and any other special requests.

Sheboygan Wedding Receptions That Keep People Dancing
When hiring a DJ for your wedding reception or corporate event be sure to consider your guests taste in music as well as your own. If you don't, you may alienate your guests to the point where they stay away from the dance floor, or worse yet, leave your reception early. The best thing YOU can do is meet with your DJ prior to your event and let him/her know that you want a nice variety of music. Not everyone can dance to techno all night long. Also, be sure that your DJ keeps the volume to a reasonable level. Years in the radio business have taught me that ear fatigue can develop quickly, turning off your listeners. By changing up the tempo of songs and offering a little variety you'll have a better chance of keeping the dance floor packed all night long.
